Is laser treatment appropriate for your skin type, hair colour, complexion and/or intended body area? Suggest that the operator test a small patch of skin before you undergo the procedure. You should talk to your doctor before undergoing any laser treatment.

Is a medical doctor immediately available during or after the procedure? What steps are in place in case of an emergency? Ask the provider to review your medical history.

Who will actually perform the procedure? What licensing, training and insurance does the operator have? How many times has the operator performed laser hair removal? Has he or she done it on the part of the body and skin type that you want treated?
If you experience pain, burns or discoloration after a procedure, seek medical attention straight away.
