Unfortunately, sometimes buyers do not pay their debts.

If your business provides goods or services to another business or an individual on terms where payment is made after delivery of those goods or service, it is an unfortunate fact that sometimes buyers do not pay their debts.

Unpaid debt can prove extremely expensive, particularly for smaller business. The temptation may be to write off the debt but if this happens too many times, this creates cash flow problems and, in extreme circumstances, can lead to the failure of a business.

At Clime Associates, we are experts at recovering business debt. We have links with search agencies who can rapidly tell us if a debtor is worth pursuing and enforcement agencies who can make sure that, once we have secured a judgment, you actually receive your money.

Time limits

There are strict time limits to bring a claim for recovery of a debt. That time limit is normally 6 years from the date that payment was due. In some cases, the time limit may be extended, for example, when the debtor acknowledges the debt, but this is not a universal rule. This means that if you have a debt that needs to be recovered, you should not delay in making an enquiry of our expert team, who will be able to advise you on all aspects of your claim.

Funding

For most basic debt recovery actions, we can offer fixed fees, which you can read more about here. If the work needed is not covered, then we will assess your claim and provide you with a breakdown of the work needed and a bespoke quote.
